Have you noticed the lack of romance game focusing on love interests of color ? Well let's make our own games ! This is the second edition of a beginner friendly, visual novel jam aimed at making more diverse romance focused stories.

-Make a visual novel game or demo where one or more person of color can be romanceable (romance don't have to be the entire focus of the game but elements of it needs to be available for the player ) *More infos regarding this rule below.More infos regarding this rule
What fit in the the definition of romanceable :
The mc / Established main character / Established playable character can get in a romantic relationship with a love interest through the events of the game. In this case the characters don't start as lovers but can end up as such.
The mc / Established main character / Established playable character can have a relationship that explore romantic feelings with a love interest. In this case the characters don't end up in a romantic relationship but explore romantic feelings they have towards each other through the game.
This definition exclude : showing a story between two characters who are already in a relationship ( the players don't get to romance someone as the relationship is already established ) or showing a story that does not involved romantic elements. This jam is about romancing people of colors, not including romance elements will disqualify you.
IF YOUR GAME IS UPLOADED AS A DEMO: Make it clear who the love interests are.
-To submit a game, the love interest needs to be a person of color.
-Avoid poc stereotypes and fetishization (such as animalizing, sexualizing or demonizing). In big lines, Be respectful.
-Topics about racism can be included but racist content is prohibited.
-Content promoting Violence, Racism, Ableism, Sexism, Homophobia or any sort of bigotry are banned.
-If your entry is 18+ tag your game appropriately and include multiples warnings.
-While white passing poc exist keep in mind that this jam focus on non white characters.
-Your game can include white love interests but the main focus of this jam are poc. If your game has multiple love interests, love interests who are characters of colors shouldn't be a minority of the roaster.
-Characters with abnormal skin colors (ex: gray, green, blue) or fantasy species who stray from human apparence ( ex: Twi'lek or Dragonborn ) don't count as poc.
-You can work solo or as a team. (You or your team don't have to be poc to participate.)
-Usage of pre made assets is allowed.
-The use of generative Ai of any sort is banned.
-You can do crunch, upload unfinished project or submit an updated version of a game. You are not allowed to submit a game fully made prior to the year of this jam (prior to 2026 ).
-While unfinished projects are accepted your game needs a minimum of 25 dialogues to be considered a démo.
