Welcome to the Kennebec Pride Jam! A Maine-based game jam during Hallowell Pride where developers experiment with fun interactive experiences over a shared theme to be announced when the jam starts. Though you don't need to be a Mainer to submit, we have an in-person meetup and award ceremony (see bottom of the page). In order to vote on submissions or receive awards for your submission you must attend in person :)

| Diversifier | Description |
| Be Gay, Do Crime | Include an element of outlaws/lawlessness |
| Pure of Heart, Dumb of Ass | Add a good-aligned "bo" (herbo, thembo, himbo, etc.) to your game |
| None Pizza Left Beef | Feature a curious food item |
| Death Becomes Her | Utilize a game mechanic that is not death, but instead something worse. |
| Two Bros, Chillin' in a Hot Tub... | Multiplayer game that utilizes a strict distance apart rule. |
| But I’m a Cheerleader | Develop an ending that rejects obvious resolution in favor of something campy, rebellious, and/or liberating. |
Though not explicitly required we highly encourage developers to try to include one or more diversifiers listed above!
We align closely with Global Game Jam's Inclusiveness Policy. In short: No sexism, racism, discrimination or any kind of exclusion will be tolerated and we reserve the right to refuse and/or remove content based on our principles.
Art, Writing, and Music should be original.
We invite participants to a private event at Wrapped Up for the Best In Show award and five secret awards. Awards are physical and judging will be done in-person. We encourage those in Maine to attend and meet other amazing developers.

(We're not officially associated with any pride events but will be attending many ourselves and encourage you to do the same.)
12-4pm: Festival at Granite City Park
1:30pm: Pride Parade on Water Street
2pm: Live Music
All Day: Pride art show, craft fair, and face paint at Gallant Therapy Services. Ryan Hines Grafting book launch event at Michel Paul Studios.
3:30-5:30pm: Kennebec Pride Jam 2026 Meetup and Awards Ceremony
8pm: Afterparty at Easy Street
